Hello all my fellow D2A family and members,

Just wanted to say a very BIG "THANK YOU" to all those who graciously gave me their support and best wishes for the Hosting position on Channel 10's Toasted TV.........well I got the role and am so very thankful for your support!

My first introductory episode airs tomorrow morning 26th August, don't worry if you miss it as you can tune in 6 days a week from 7am, I'll be there looking straight back at you! Thank you also Helen for your wonderful undivided and unconditional support of not just me but all the D2A team members.....gosh what a difference D2A has made to informing it's members of what is going on in the Industry. Keep up the good work Helen, we really appreciate you!

Sociological branding of generations is nothing new, but has the media sensationalised reports of this group’s behaviour? Or are they, in fact, a product of modern media? A highly dramatic, inventive, risqué burlesque cabaret exposing the lies, the truths, ideas and ideals of the real and invented members of GEN-Y.....

Alongside directors Sacha Kilgour and Chris Parson, you will be instrumental in creating the material that features in the production. Delve into the issues and pressures of being a young person in 2008 as you investigate the popular perceptions that exist and then mould your discussions and findings into music theatre moments that truly capture the GEN-Y experience.

Chris has just returned from Melbourne performing in GUYS AND DOLLS, toured 2007 as a guest performer with Barry Humphries and Friends, Back with Evengance, as well as roles in Hugh Jackman - the Boy from Oz, Saturday Night Fever and in the original cast of MAMMA MIA. In addition he and Sacha wrote and directed the musical The Paper War for atyp in 2007.

Sacha Kilgour
Sacha Kilgour ventured to Australia, from New Zealand in 2000; she is currently singing with vocal trio Bells and the Super Fly Soul Review. Sacha has extensive experience in musical directing for high school shows and college productions.

Bond University graduation film needs male actors, in their 50's, 60's
We are looking for actors for our graduation film to be shot in 4-5 weeks. It is a 10 minute action film set in a church. We are looking to have auditions later this week. Here are some character descriptions:

Bishop Vincenzo Storatto - 58

A 58 year old servitude of the church, his face is wearied with the marks of age and a balding flock of white hair to match. He is a faithful friend of the Deodato family and acts as their religious and legitimate front. He is a corrupt man very high up in the church system. He is an important religious figure, very influential, who hides his corrupt nature behind the sanctity of his religion. He uses the catholic cross as a shield from which he hides his immoral and unethical acts. He is arrogant, self-righteous, and egotistical.

David ‘Bernie’ Bernstein

Late 30’s to early 40’s he is a short weedy, balding man with a hawk-beak nose. He looks out of place among the gangsters he surrounds himself with. He is also a long-standing friend and associate of the Deodato family. He is a Jewish man, who uses his Star of David as a shield to hide his corrupt nature. He is a cocaine addict who hides his drugs in his Star of David pendant. He is no gangster but likes to pretend he is. He is not tough but surrounds himself with gangsters to make himself tough.

Don Dante Deodato

Late 50’s, early 60’s. A first generation Sicilian who moved to America and worked his way to the status of Don. He is a catholic man who hides his corrupt dealings behind the sanctity of his religion. He is frail, and struggles to walk and talk; his old age is taking him and he is slowly dying. He is an elderly man with a friendly appearance but with a sinister mean streak. His clothes are perfectly pressed and fitted. He values the old fashioned values. He expects respect from everyone. He has been like a father figure to John, whom he adopted of the street and raised him as part of the family.
