Gillian Emmett
- Gillian is an up-and-coming Australian actress who has just been cast in a supporting role in the major Australian feature film "Scab Girl Asylum" by award-winning filmmaker Matt Norman. She also recently starred opposite Malcolm McDowell (Book of Eli, Coco Chanel, Entourage, A Clockwork Orange) in the US feature film "Suing the Devil", and opposite Sam Atwell (Home and Away) in the stunning short film "Peanut Butter".
- Other recent work includes guest roles on the TV shows "Rake" and "Home and Away", the Australian feature “Being in Heaven”, Tropfest’s first ever MAX Tropscore film, and many commercials, corporate programs, and short films.
- Gillian is also attached as the lead female role in two other Australian features in development “My Lil Eye” and "Line in the Sand". "My Lil Eye" is a dark sexy thriller about obsession and online voyeurism. Other professionals attached to the project include DOP Peter Holland (Cedar Boys, The Nothing Men, Gabriel) and former AFC Commissioner and Executive Producer Tom Kennedy (King of the Mountain, Bad Bush). - Gillian has a motorcycle licence and is an experienced ballroom and latin dancer. Prior to pursuing a career in film Gillian worked in mental health services (B.Psych.Hons). This background allows her to explore provocative material with both realism and respect.
