Dare 2 Audition appreciates and respects your individual privacy. We recognize that some people have concerns about the performance of online technology and how their personal information will be stored and used. This policy has been created to reflect our commitment to privacy and our adoption of the National Privacy Principles contained in the Privacy Act 1988.

The following Privacy Policy is intended to provide you with a detailed explanation of how and when we collect your personal information, how it is stored and distributed within the www.dare2audition.com.au web site. By using the www.dare2audition.com.au web site you consent to the collection and use of your personal information by Dare 2 Audition in accordance with the following principals.

Dare 2 Auditions Privacy Policy

Your privacy is of the utmost importance to Dare 2 Audition. Dare 2 Audition attempts to minimize the personal information that members need to reveal; however, we do ask for some basic personal information when creating an account and or ID within the Dare 2 Audition Community. We want you to be fully informed of how this information is gathered and used.

Some personal information is required in order to create an account. This information includes your email address that allows us to contact you or to route important messages to your existing email account. Forum notifications, Dare 2 Audition newsletters & bulletins, and messages sent to you all rely on the email address you provide when you signup. You have the ability to change your email address that is associated with your Dare 2 Audition account at any time, via your account->my settings. Dare 2 Audition will not disclose your email address to any other Dare 2 Audition member, or to any third party, without your permission with the exception of requests by legal authorities pending investigation of illicite activities whereby Dare 2 Audition will fully co-oporate with them.

If you wish to create a profile for our talent search your headshot and resume is provided yet you can stipulate who can access your profile via the drop down box on the profile itself. Choices of all visitors, only registered members, only paid subscribers are the options. Members (bronze, silver & gold) are able to receive sms for ugent casting calls and your mobile number is requested for this service. No other person other than administration of this site can view your mobile number and this number is not given to anyone without your personal consent. All contact is via our private message system and your username/nickname, no private address is needed other than the city which you reside. This is collected so that we can supply you with information that is relevent and auditions that are in your state.

Other required information collected is for administration purposes only ie. last login, date membership expires, user type (actor, agent, director) membership level (bronze, silver, gold) allowing us to better understand and record the use of this site. This information allows us to do a better job of recommending content that may be of interest to you on this site, and to inform you of auditions that are relevant to your age and geographic location. Similar to television, radio, and magazines, Dare 2 Audition relies primarily on revenue from advertising to subsidise the cost of providing free services to registered users, some basic information is collected when you click on our advertising banners.

The above describes information that is provided "actively" - meaning, you choose to submit this information to us when you register with Dare 2 Audition, or update your account at any point after having joined. Some other information is provided "passively" - meaning, that Dare 2 Audition obtains this information when you login to your account and use the service. This is done primarily through the use of "cookies". Cookies are used on Dare 2 Audition to verify your login information, and to optionally store your password in your browser so that you do not need to type it in each time you visit Dare 2 Audition. Any time that you point your browser to a 'members-only' area, Dare 2 Audition checks your browser's cookie file to see if you have already logged in, and if you have, you're taken right to the page that you have requested.

If not, you'll be directed to the Dare 2 Audition login screen, where you can quickly and easily login to your account, or register an account if you are not yet a member. Cookies are also used in conjunction with some ad banners to determine their effectiveness.

If you no longer wish to use your account, either simply click the link on the bottom of our weekly newsletter to be removed from our mailing list, to remove your profile from our system and close your account click the banner on the home page and provide your screen name and/or username/nickname
so we can remove your profile from the talent search.

In this electronic era, when personal information can easily be obtained through various sources, Dare 2 Audition appreciates the sensitivity of any private information that you disclose to us. It is our intention to treat your account information with the highest level of care. Personal Information

Dare 2 Audition collects limited personal information, which is essential to provide an effective service for you. The information will be collected by fair and lawful means and not in an unreasonably intrusive way. The information collected includes:

Personal contact details - include your name, nearest capital city, email address, nickname/username.
Personal profile information about you such as age, gender, height, weight, ethnicity, personal skills etc.
Still images, video files.
Communications (by email, discussion forums or other means which pass through the www.dare2audition.com.au web site) between yourself and other Dare 2 Audition portal members.

Private members who wish to receive sms for urgent casting calls provide a mobile phone number, this number is only viewed by Dare 2 Audition staff and at no time given to any other member or third party without your personal consent.
Your resume information detailing work history, training and accolades.
Last login date, membership status ie. Registered user or bronze, silver, gold or platinum member and membership expiry date.
If you are agent represented, looking for representation, freelance etc. this is to assist unrepresented actors to promote themselves via the talent search to agencies looking for new talent to represent and so that represented actors are not approached by agency members looking for new talent to represent.
We do not keep, retain or store your personal credit card or banking information all payments are either via Paypal or direct bank deposit.

As marketing and promotion is a very important part of becoming a successful performer, we promote members on the home page in our "Talent of the Month" who have been doing well and proactive, or in our News area of the site, you can elect not to be promoted on the site by simply contacting us, although we do ask permission on a case by case basis.

Children and Dare 2 Audition

If you are wanting to put a child under 16 years of age on Dare 2 Audition, the Children's agreement form must be either printed or downloaded and forward to us, either by fax, post or email, as all children under the age of 16 year must have parental consent and be aware of the laws and agreements surrounding the employment of children in the Arts. Our awards and agreement section has information regarding Children and Dare 2 Audition, as well as other industry awards and agreements. There is a Parental Consent Form in pdf format so you are familiar with this agreement when your children are employed, this form is to be provided by the company employing your children and signed and returned to that company by the parent/s.
